Outstanding Teacher and First Responders Recognized
September 2016:
ST. AUGUSTINE – Ashlar Lodge No. 98 Free and Accepted Masons of Florida honored three first responders and a St. Johns County Public School teacher during the Lodge’s regular meeting on Thursday, September 22.
Officer Brittney Garmon of the St. Augustine Police Department was recognized as Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer for 2016 for that department. She was presented with a Grand Lodge of Florida certificate signed by the Grand Master and an honorarium recognizing her dedicated and devoted service to our community.
Jeanne Fischer of the St. Augustine Police Department was recognized as Outstanding Law Enforcement Communication Officer for 2016. She was presented with a Grand Lodge of Florida Certificate signed by the Grand Master and an honorarium recognizing her dedication and service to St. Augustine.
Officer Ed Martinez of the St. Augustine Beach Police Department was recognized as Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer for 2016 for SABPD. He was presented with a Grand Lodge of Florida Certificate signed by the Grand Master and an honorarium recognizing his dedicated service to his department and community.
Ms. Kate Ducote was selected by Ashlar Lodge No. 98 to be part of the Grand Lodge of Florida’s Adopt-A-Teacher Program. Ms. Ducote is an ESE Support specialists at Sebastian Middle School. Ms. Ducote received an Adopt-A-Teacher Certificate signed by Stanley Hudson, Grand Master of Masons of Florida, and a check for $500.00 to support her classroom activities.
Support for first responders, teachers, and other public servants is part of the Grand Lodge of Florida’s Public Education and Citizenship program which encourages all Lodges to properly recognize these important members of our communities.
