Ashlar Lodge No. 98 F. & A. M. Recognized Outstanding Boy Scout

ST. AUGUSTINE—Ashlar Lodge No. 98 F. & A.M. presented a local Boy Scout with a Grand Lodge of Florida certificate and letter of recognition honoring his attainment of the rank of Eagle Scout. The presentation was made at the Lodge in St. Augustine on Thursday, June 21, 2018.
Caleb Arsenault became a Boy Scout when he was thirteen years old. He completed all requirements for the rank of Eagle Scout in March 2018 at age seventeen. Only 4% of all Boy Scouts attain the coveted rank.
Caleb became interested in Scouting while involved in 4-H Forestry. He currently volunteers for a local animal shelter and his Eagle Scout project was to build an enclosure for an abandoned Vietnamese potbelly pig at St. Johns County Pet Center.
He is a leader in his troop and is currently Senior Patrol Leader. He tied for second place as a sharp shooter in national competition and has learned self-sufficiency though his experience camping, earning merit badges, and overseeing his troop.
Caleb next goal is to obtain a degree in American history with a minor in law. He has an abiding interest in the subject and by the end of summer 2018 he will have visited all 50 states and eight foreign countries.
Caleb is a member of Troop 857, North Florida Council, Osceola District.
